JUST IMAGINE!!!!!!

...............Contributed by Bobby Bansal

Kindly read the original message below written by some Mr.Nobody, followed by my kind response to this person.

Over the weekend, I filled up my car's fuel tank, and I thought petrol has become really expensive after the recent price hike. But then I compared it with other common liquids and did some quick calculations, and I felt a little better.

To know why, see the results below - you'll be surprised at how outrageous some other prices are.

Diesel (regular) in Mumbai : Rs.36.08 per litre
Petrol (speed) in Mumbai : Rs.52 per litre

Coca Cola 330 ml can : Rs.20 = Rs.61 per litre
Dettol antiseptic 100 ml Rs.20 = Rs.200 per litre
Pantene conditioner 400 ml Rs.165 = Rs.413 per litre
Medicinal mouthwash like Listerine 100 ml Rs.45 = Rs. 450 per litre
Corex cough syrup 100 ml Rs.57 = Rs. 570 per litre
Kores whiteout 15 ml Rs. 15 = Rs. 1000 per litre
Old Spice after shave lotion 100 ml Rs.175 = Rs. 1750 per litre
Pure almond oil 25 ml Rs. 68 = Rs. 2720 per litre

So, the next time you're at the pump, don't curse our honorable Petroleum minister - just be glad your car doesn't run on cough syrup, after shave, coffee, or God forbid, printer ink !

MY RESPONSE

Coca Cola 330 ml can : Rs.20 = Rs.61 per litre
*This is utter non-sense. Firstly, you don't drink litres of cola instead of water everyday, unless you are Ambani’s son, who insists on doing so (probably even slaps his servant if he doesn’t oblige to his demand…..bloody brat!!!). Whereas, your car consumes (depending on the model) litres and litres of petrol everyday even for a small journey.

Dettol antiseptic 100 ml Rs.20 = Rs.200 per litre
* This is even worse; you probably won't even use/require a single bottle of this thing in your entire lifetime. So Rs.200 per litre is insignificant, unless everyone in your house is so stupid that they hurt themselves so very often and apply litres of Dettol everyday.

Pantene conditioner 400 ml Rs.165 = Rs.413 per litre
*Now come on, not everyone is fortunate enough or would want to keep long hair like Rupenzel (if you remember the fairy tail story), that you would require litres of conditioner to wash your hair. On an average a person would use only some 30 to 40 bottles or some 25 litres of conditioner in his/her lifetime.

Medicinal mouthwash like Listerine 100 ml Rs.45 = Rs. 450 per litre
*Damn!!! It is only a mouthwash, not an inner body-wash (including your stomach, liver, kidney, pancreas, brain) liquid that you would require huge amounts of it.

Corex cough syrup 100 ml Rs.57 = Rs. 570 per litre
*It is expensive, but you are not buying this everyday and that too a litres of it. Unless, you’re parents have divorced and your girlfriend left you, everybody thinks you are a creep and they avoid you. You go into depression, get hooked on to drugs and consume Corex, when you are short on cash but want to get high.

Kores whiteout 15 ml Rs. 15 = Rs. 1000 per litre
*What are you talking about? Giving a makeover to the yellow-turning Taj Mahal with the whiteout. How much would you ever spend on this thing.

Old Spice after shave lotion 100 ml Rs.175 = Rs. 1750 per litre
*You don't require this lotion in a huge quantity, unless you shave your entire body, set it on fire and apply litres of it, to cool it down. You buy one tube maybe once in 6 months, is it too expensive, unlike bloody petrol.

Pure almond oil 25 ml Rs. 68 = Rs. 2720 per litre
*Come on mate, you are not cooking your food in this oil, unless you are an Arabic sheikh. And how many people do you know, who use this oil for whatever purpose anyway? I know for sure that everyone uses petrol directly/indirectly.

MY CONCLUSION: The person who wrote this article is either a government twat or an Ambani funded stupid loud-mouth, who wants to justify the surge in fuel prices. Petrol is undoubtedly an expensive commodity, as every tangible good you deal in, involves payment towards it, either directly/indirectly. Economies depend on petrol, any change in the price can lead to disastrous impacts, from slowing down of an economy to starvation in other cases. By the way, how many of you know that consumers pay more than 100 percent in the form of various taxes on petrol and these oil companies still claim that they are making a loss. No sane organization would run a business in losses. These are just smart accounting techniques to feed their insatiable hunger for money.

Cheers!!!!
